CYO Campership Application Process
We recognize the CYO Camp program as being a most valuable step in the overall recreational and educational processes for young people today. It is our feeling that this opportunity should be available to all who desire it.
For this reason, we have a Campership Fund to help families who are unable to afford the total camp fee. Please understand that we rely on donations from outside sources for this fund, and therefore may be restricted in the amount of assistance we are able to give. Partial camperships are given to help supplement the cost of the camping experience.
The Process is as follows…
- Look over the brochure with your child to confirm that CYO is the camp your child would like to attend and wants to attend. Then fill out the Registration Form in its entirety.
- Next, fill out the Campership Application form and complete a separate application for each child you wish to send to camp. Make copies as necessary. It is important that this application be completed in its entirety, including the reason the campership is being requested.
- In addition proof of income must be provided. A copy of a current check stub for all household members and / or tax records for the fiscal year of 2007 must accompany the form.
- The Summer Food Service Program Form must be filled out and signed by an appropriate legal guardian or parent, no matter if you qualify or not. Read through the instructions and fill out the form to the best of your ability.
Based upon the information received (the registration form, campership application, proof of income, and the Summer Food Service Form) the CYO Office will notify all applicants by mail the first of June or sooner on our ability to assist you in sending your child to camp.
Please note if your child was a previous camper, the Camp Office will also consider the camper’s past behavior at camp prior to granting a campership. We truly believe camperships should be distributed to those who deserve it.
Feel free to contact the CYO Offices if you have any questions or concerns.
